Kyle's movie review for "Sucker Punch"

Rating: B+

The title for this movie is exactly what it did to me lol. Sucker Punch is a crazy ride from start to finish, I take my hat off to the people who came up with the ideas for the movie. The artistic battle sequences are pretty freaking rad to say the least and its even better that 5 attractive girls are doing the butt kicking. I think a good portion of the people who see this movie will be disappointed in how the film ends but I really liked it as a whole. I will be owning Sucker Punch when it comes out on DVD.

Kyle's movie review for "Unknown"

Rating: C

I don't remember if I heard in a preview or a review online but someone said that Unknown is better than "Taken".... That's a load of crap!!! I love Liam Neeson he is a great actor but Taken is 10 times better. This movie is nothing like what you'd expect from watching the trailer so make sure you have an open mind going into it. The acting is good but I just don't like the story, yeah its creative but it had potential to be much better. Not terrible, but I probably wont see it again.

Kyle's movie review for "The Green Hornet"

Rating: B

I saw The Green Hornet twice before doing a review because I wanted to make sure it was as funny the second time. I was pleasantly surprised by how funny it is, definitely one of Seth Rogan's better films. I love the combination of the dumb rich white guy partnered up with an Asian martial arts expert who is surprisingly really funny. James Franco had a really funny cameo in the beginning of the movie to set the tone right and the main villain was great in a stupid/funny way so I enjoyed it.

Kyle's movie review for "The Fighter"

Rating: A-

For me this was a better version of the film "Invincible" which also stars Mark Wahlberg in a similar story of him being from a super small town and getting a chance to prove his athletic ability. Christian Bale's performance was very impressive, he does a great job playing and looking the part as a washed up retired boxer that has turned into a crack addict. I said in a previous review that I have a soft spot for films based on true stories and that have crazy trials to overcome and The Fighter fits into that category perfectly. And not only does he overcome his trials involving boxing, the family is also able to overcome some trials of their own so it has a great happy ending.

Kyle's movie review for "127 Hours"

Rating: A-

I saw a documentary about this true story a week or so before seeing the the film in theaters, I was amazed by the ultimate trial that Aron Ralston had placed before him and I just had to see the movie. James Franco's performance was phenomenal, I have a soft spot for stories of overcoming near impossible odds whether its a film about sports or something like this film. Its rated R because of a few "F" words and the scene of him cutting his arm off is extremely graphic so if you don't handle blood very well you may want to close your eyes for that part lol. The film helps you put your life into better perspective and remember how much of a gift it is to even have the ones we love in our lives. Brilliant!!!

Kyle's movie review for "The Next Three Days"

Rating: B+

Two words.... Russel Crowe. That guy just always amazes me he is one of my favorite actors of all time. I really enjoyed this film because of John Brennan's (Russel Crowe) will and determination to make things right and be with his wife who is falsely accused of murder and sent to prison. I liked how in the film it took a year of preparation for his attempt to free his wife instead of some guy knowing nothing about what he needed to do miraculously busting his wife out of prison. The Next Three Days was an intense as well as fun ride for me and I'll definitely own it when it is released. The only thing I didn't like was how the lead detective picked up on the most ridiculous clues you could imagine while hunting them down. Great film!!!

Kyle's movie review for "Rango"

 Rating: D+

Ever since I saw the trailer for Rango I just never had a real interest in seeing it but I ended up seeing it on a date. I'll admit there are a few funny parts but it just didn't tickle my fancy. When I see animated films like that I look forward to an enjoyable children's film but Rango had a lot of inuendo and it was just down right weird to me. Not a big fan of this one.

Kyle's movie review for "I Am Number 4"

Rating: C+

I went to this movie not really knowing what to expect because the trailers leave it kinda mysterious. It does a good job of getting your attention with a pretty intense scene of a freaky alien thing attacking a couple of guys in a hut in the jungle. If you're not much into sci-fi types of movies you may not like it, I over all enjoyed the movie because of the cool fight scenes and the two sexy women in the film haha. The end of the movie really leaves it open for a sequel and I think the sequel could be pretty rad I just hope they end up making another one. The reason I give it a C+ is because there are a few parts that are ridiculously corny but I'll probably see it again.

Kyle's movie review for "The King's Speech"

Rating: A

My good friend Erin Spencer convinced me to go see The King's Speech. To be honest I was hesitant because I didn't know anything about this film but I went anyways. I was blown out of the water by the incredible acting from Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, its probably the best film over all that I've seen this year. This film is rated R because of a few scenes with the "F" word used as a speech exercise which I found humorous and not really offensive, the rest of the movie is G rated. If you haven't seen it yet I strongly recommend that you do it is very inspiring and enjoying to watch.
